On the 8 of September we will share Taring Padi’s practice and work in solidarity with the Palestinian struggle, by presenting and activating the collective banner الشعوب عدالة / People’s Justice (2024) that will be temporarily installed in the spaces of La Pelanda during Short Theatre, in support of the National Assembly of Performing Arts Workers, who are calling for a major day of mobilization and collective reflection in Rome.

Entitled الشعوب عدالة, people’s justice, this banner is the culmination of a heartfelt journey of learning, working and love between Taring Padi and the collectives The Kitchen, Globe Aroma, Learning Palestine, Subversive Film and The Question of Funding. At its core, a century old olive tree symbolises the steadfastness, dignity and hope that give meaning to the Palestinian struggle for liberation. Enmeshed in a landscape that brings to life ancestral relations of people and nature, an olive tree stands tall against the forces that perpetuate oppression and dispossession.
